the waiting game.

I hate waiting.

I especially hate waiting for my life to happen. I know school is important... But I wish I could just skip that step and get to the important stuff. Or the stuff that I actually want to do. I want to have my own place, my own income... Cook my own food, go shopping for my own groceries. I want Carter to have his own room and a place for him to be able to grow(not that my moms house isn't great-she is such a blessing, but the dogs are definitely a hindrance).

I've talked before about how I feel like I'm a step ahead of everyone yet stuck in the same place. I'm in the middle of getting my education and there's no way I could afford my own place right now... And yet I have this beautiful baby that I want to be able to provide for without having to ask for help.

I just need to find some patience... It'll happen-eventually.

MLIA(my life is awesome)

Why my life is awesome

1. I have this super cute little boy in my life that smiles at me and loves me no matter what. He showed me what love is and showed me how I should really live my life. What a blessing he is.

(He's even sick in this picture and still cute as H)

2. My boyfriend is amazing. We currently live 10 hours away from each other and it sucks... We're lucky to see each other once every couple months. But he is so great. He's an amazing Dad and loves my favorite little boy just as much(maybe ;) ) as I do. Also, I realized recently that the things we tend to get in fights about are over things that we miss about each other. For instance, he just got mad at me recently for never laying Carter down at night... Why? Cause he misses cuddling(or at least that's what I took away from it). Seriously? How much sweeter can you be. I can't wait for the day that we live in the same city again!

3. Creatvity. I recently bought my first crochet hooks and have made multiple bows since then! I plan on moving on to bigger things eventually... But for now. I'm happy with my bows :)

4. Finding friends in your family. When we were on Spring Break I really got to connect with my cousins. Made me realize how special family relationships are. Love and miss them even more now!!

Washington trip.

Wow. This has been one heck of a trip.
First of all we got to Seattle only to find out my cousins grandma was on her deathbed. The day before we left for Portland she passed away and my cousin, Haley, had to head out of town for some family time. Then we got to Portland and Jack's uncle died!! It was awful timing, and needless to say no one wants us to come visit them anymore for fear that a loved one will die.

On a more positive note, it was so nice to catch up with our relatives from the west coast. We rarely get to see them because of our location, but when we do get together it's a great time.

We toured the Seattle fish market and shopped a bit. But none of that compared to our trip to Forks!!

Ok... So honestly, Forks wasn't that great. My sister, my cousin and I agreed that it was probably the saddest town we had ever been to. We ate at a restaurant that made us extremely uncomfortable because it was disgusting. Wallpaper was peeling and the salad bar was wilty. Not to mention the waitress had no idea what the words 'customer service' meant... I think we were more excited about the welcome to Forks sign* than we were about Fork's itself.

We also got to go to La Push, which is where Jacob Black from the Twilight series is supposed to be from. And it was beautiful. We saw whales and the beach was covered in driftwood. I took a couple rocks from the beach to remember it, not to mention a million pictures!!

*see?? Forks sign had us jumping up and down! Forks? Not so much.

Russell Brand look-alike in this one!

8 months

Carter is 8 months old!!

Yay!!

But he has one heck of a cough...
Boooo!!

Poor little guy has been fighting this bug for the last few days and I think he's just starting to get over it. On Tuesday while I was in class my mom said that Carter was sleeping on her almost the entire time. Yesterday he wasn't eating very well. And right now marks the first time he's fallen asleep before 10 pm in about a week...

Here's hoping he gets better soon.

Also... Anyone else think its weird that it's been 8 months since I was pregnant? I still get surprised looks from people that find out I have a baby!! Guess that's a good thing!! :)
