college and confusion.

It is one of the most stressful things in the world to have to decide what you are going to do with the rest of your life when you're only a teenager. 2 years ago I was positive that I wanted to direct a high school choir someday. Then I go to college and see all the options I have, and how awful I am at music theory, and suddenly I'm not so positive about what I want to be.

I could be an Elementary Teacher.
A Social Worker.
A Sociologist.
A Psychologist.
An Artist.
An Archaeologist.
A Business Owner.

And that's not even half of my options.

At this point, I'm so confused about what I want to do with the rest of my life...
I just need time to think I guess...

team and cheerleading

Being a part of a team is one of the things I have missed most about High School.
In college the closest I had gotten to a team sport until this year was Track & Field, which is probably the least "team sport" there is, because it's so individualized. You work out with your team, and even wear the same uniform, but the only "team" races are relays, and more often than not you are against one of our teammates in a race.
This year I'm finally back to one of my favorite team sports.

Cheerleading.

I'm so glad to finally be cheering again. Our first game was last Saturday, and the crowd was loving us. We hit all of our stunts and it was community day so we got to interact with lots of kids! So fun, and I'm so glad I get to be apart of such a great team of girls. :)

luther, home.

First off, I'd like to say

OK, now that that's out of the way.
I'll tell you why. :)
Luther is almost more of a home than home now. I know that by saying that, I'm confirming my Mom's(and my sister's) worst nightmare (sorry, Mom and Court), but I can honestly say that this is where I'm most comfortable, most active, most happy? maybe. But I just love everything about it. The campus is beautiful, my friends are caring and lovely, my boyfriend lives down one flight of stairs, my classes are amazing so far, I have more friends and acquaintances than I ever had at Des Moines Christian, and it's just, simply put.

Home.
